South Eugene Family YMCA

The new South Eugene YMCA is not just a gym, it’s a vibrant community center that brings people of all ages together. The Hohbach-Lewin, Eugene office is proud to be a part of the talented design team that worked to create this community space.
The multi-use facility includes a natatorium, gymnasium, fitness and wellness facilities, childcare center and more. The structural design posed unique challenges that required a creative approach and solutions. The structure boasts an elevated 3-lane running track that is suspended from the roof structure, a 500 sf cantilever entry canopy and a 90ft span steel girder weighing around 15,000 pounds.
