Oak Grove Elementary School

Hohbach-Lewin Eugene provided structural engineering design for Oak Grove Elementary school, a newly constructed campus for the Greater Albany Public School District completed in 2019. Located just outside Albany, Oregon this 65,000sf L-Shaped building is placed on an 8 acre site surrounded by picturesque farmland.
The wood framed two-story classroom wing includes manufactured wood trusses and offers a welcoming environment for both kids and teachers alike. Notable features include a spacious cafeteria and gymnasium both designed with metal roof framing spanning between open-web steel joists and concrete tilt-up panels. Additional features include a media center and covered outdoor play area.
