About the Role:
We are seeking a Staff or Design Engineer for our Palo Alto or San Francisco offices with experience in the analysis and design of steel, masonry, concrete, and/or wood buildings. About the Position

Engineering job duties include but are not limited to:

Preparation of calculations to support construction plans and details.
Preparation of minor construction document packages, including: plans, calculations and specifications.
Responding to contractor RFI’s and submittals and performing job site visits during construction.

Position Requirements

Candidates should have:

BS / MS in structural engineering, or civil engineering with a structural emphasis
One to four plus years of experience and a California EIT license. PE license is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to effectively communicate in both the written and spoken word
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
Familiarity with analysis software such as RISA, RAM Concept, RAM Structural System, Etabs, etc.

Successful applicants require a minimum of 3 years of experience using Revit Structure or Revit Architecture 2010 or higher as well as a strong working knowledge of all building systems. We are looking for creative and energetic candidates with an intuitive structural design sensibility and excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities: Create parametric models based on direction/sketches provided by the BIM Manager and Project Engineers, generate a detailed set of construction documents as derived from the model; assist in maintenance of typical details and Revit families; assist in design coordination with BIM Manager and Project Manager.
