Doug Hohbach, S.E. has served as structural engineer-of-record for a wide range of buildings; from high rise office to multi-unit residential buildings. He has authored technical articles on the structural behavior of steel, concrete, and wood buildings. He has also provided peer review services to the State of California and Stanford University among others.
Mr. Hohbach received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and his M.S. in Structural Engineering from Stanford University. He has served in several important roles in the Structural Engineer’s Association of California, including Seismology Committee Chair and President. In 2018 he will be serving as President of the Applied Technology Council.

Dan Lewin, S.E., received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1981. His 30-plus years of experience in the building design industry encompass a diverse range of project types including large multi-unit mixed use residential developments, concrete post-tensioned podium and parking structures, private and public educational K-12 facilities, university facilities, hospitals, corporate office complexes, and retail centers.
Dan is a value engineering specialist and is a LEED accredited design engineer. He has been on the forefront of Hohbach-Lewin’s on-going efforts to promote sustainable building design methodology throughout the building industry.
Mr. Lewin has authored seismic design criteria for multiple school districts and universities, has provided peer review services, and has overseen seismic design programs which have employed multiple independent design firms.

Joaquim Roberts, S.E., received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University. His 30 years of experience encompass a diverse range of project types including: numerous multi-family multi-story residential, custom homes, hospitals, corporate office complexes, and retail centers. While at Hohbach-Lewin, Mr. Roberts has concentrated on educational facilities, multi-story, multi-family residential, and custom residential design projects.
Anthony W. Lee, S.E., Principal

Anthony Lee, S.E., received his undergraduate degree from California Polytechnic State University and his Master’s Degree from University of California at Berkeley. His 15 years of professional experience encompass a diverse range of project types including: retail centers, hospitals, corporate office complexes, and seismic retrofits of complex existing structures. While at Hohbach-Lewin, Mr. Lee has served as the responsible structural engineer for commercial, retail, educational and seismic retrofit projects.

Vikki Bourcier, S.E., began working for Hohbach-Lewin in their Palo Alto office in 1998, relocated to Oregon and opened the Eugene office of Hohbach-Lewin in 2001. Ms. Bourcier received her Bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University in 1990 and has engineering licenses in both California and Oregon. Her 18 years of professional experience includes providing structural engineering services for the design and construction of new buildings, and the structural/seismic upgrading of existing facilities.

Samuel Shiotani, S.E., received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from UC Davis. He has over 10 years of structural engineering experience with Hohbach-Lewin in a diverse range of public and private sector projects including: public schools, theaters, multi-unit residential buildings, custom homes, retail centers and seismic upgrades and renovations of existing buildings. He has developed special expertise in the design of post-tensioned concrete and multi-story residential buildings.

His 30-plus years of experience in the building design industry encompass a diverse range of project types including private and public K-12 educational facilities, universities, hospitals, corporate office complexes, and retail centers.
Les is the managing principal of the Hohbach-Lewin Pasadena office.
